The first step is making sure you choose a reputable company. These aren't always easy to find. The best way is to get a referral. If you don't have a good referral, do your research! Take a few minutes to check out reviews. Whether you check Google, Yelp or another resource, reviews are a good way to gain insight into how a company operates. Second, make sure that you give all of the information you can when you call to get a quote. Does the car run? Are you missing keys? Is it four wheel drive? Do you need a winch? Make sure you give the dispatcher as much information as you can. Also, ask about any upcharges that may be applied. Lastly, ask the driver if there are any extra charges that you may incur.

It is important to follow the law slow down or move over when you approach a first responder that is assisting someone.
